We have now installed the A-Fax Traffic Barrier into numerous installations. It has generally been well received by our customers who tend to like the general appearance of the product as it is considerably more pleasing to the eye than traditional alternatives. With its high bright yellow colour the product is highly visible and resistant to impact damage.
We have found that 'slot together' components are easy to install and the light self-weight of the product aids the installation process. The rails can be easily and cleanly cut on site if required without causing a fire hazard, as is the case of the steel.
The performance of the product has met expectations, its ability to absorb impacts and return to shape gives it the edge over steel alternatives. It is expected that this ability to absorb will also reduce maintenance over time, as floor fixings should not require replacing or tightening. Also from a maintenance aspect, as material used is 'self colour' the barrier should automatically maintain its high visibility finish without repainting, as is the case with alternative barrier products.
From an economic point of view recent steel price rises have made the initial cost of the barrier more attractive. Long-term we would expect replacement & maintenance costs to be minimal as the product should be more durable over time. |

We at Trelleborg are delighted with the Traffic Barriers you have supplied to us over the past two years or so, we have found them easy to install and move to different locations if necessary. Unlike the metal barriers we have used in the past they do not scratch or dent if hit and so require minimal maintenance, in fact they still look as good as new and really enhance the look of the production areas. We have received many positive comments from visitors and we think you deserve to do well with this innovative product. |

Within the European Engineering function of Office Depot we are moving away from the traditional steel barriers in favour of plastic barriers. We have installed the A-Fax plastic barriers in our three newest sites in France and the UK. Aesthetically they look good and keep on looking good. Watch a fork truck reverse into the barrier. The barrier deflects and absorbs the impact and then returns to its original shape. If this were a steel barrier you would be looking for the spare anchor bolts and the tin of yellow paint. |
