A Fax, based in south Yorkshire specialise in the design and build of barrier gates for pedestrian and traffic applications. Two of the most popular barrier gates in production currently are the Swing gates and Sliding gates.
Swing barrier gates are available to allow access where it is not desirable to simply leave a gap in a barrier run. The gates are fitted to barrier posts using a high hinge mechanism allowing access from either direction. These barrier gates can be supplied to be lockable when in a closed position and are ideal for use in situation where regular personnel or irregular mechanical or material access is required. Swing gates are fitted with a double action zinc plated mild steel hinge that allows swing opening in two directions and are designed to self closing and to fit all existing standard IntaLock Barriers. There is a closing mechanism which locks available.
Where gaps in a barrier are not desirable for access and using a swing gate would present an obstruction when gates are in the open position sliding access gates are an ideal solution. The gates side on a section of standard three rail pedestrian barrier and the gate and barrier section are supplied as a pre assembled unit. This type of barrier gate is ideally suited for use in areas such as loading bays where a swing gate would present an obstruction to traffic movement.
Both of our swing and sliding barrier gates are available to give standard openings of one thousand millimetres, one thousand five hundred and two thousand millimetres. The gates can be supplied as single units or in pairs to give two thousand, three thousand or four thousand millimetre openings. Gate sizes can be mixed and matched to give any combination of the standard openings as required. Both types of gates can be optionally fitted with locking mechanisms so the gates may be secured when in the closed position.
